The HOPS Primitive Equation model was initialized using the Alliance CTD data collected through 25 September and forced with atmospheric fluxes from FNMOC.
The results presented below show temperature, salinity and total velocity vectors at the surface and at 50m. Overlain on these fields are the 50, 200 and 500m isobaths.
With the new data, the forecast indicates the major external forcing on Procchio Bay is from the northeast of Elba.
